I was approached by a local from Crescent Head to design the promo material for a NSW Government funded initiative through Create NSW called 'Make Music Day'. Make Music Day is an all inclusive and free day of music hosted all around the world.
Event organiser, Lisa Farrawell wanted to remind the Mid North Coast that live music can generate community spirit and togetherness, especially following a trio of natural disasters; COVID, fires and floods.
The brief was to celebrate survival and represent the journey of healing amongst our community. Open to my interpretation, I chose to combine collaging and illustrations using positive colours to send this message across to the public.
This pop up festival showcased local musicians and their musical talents on a small stage right in front of the beach at my hometown, bringing families and people from all backgrounds together.
